Australia v France – New Home Record

Updates and action from the Women’s World Cup warm-up match between Australia v France

Match Updates

Australia 1 – 0 France

Full-time at the Marvel Stadium, as Australia narrowly edge a tightly fought match against France.

96 – Another injury concern, this time for France as Selma Bacha goes off on a stretcher with what looks like a nasty ankle injury. Hopefully it isn’t as bad as it looks.

74 – Tameka Yallop goes down and looks like she’s in some pain. She won’t be able to continue.

66 – Goal by Mary Fowler. Following some great work down the right, Fowler guides Raso’s cut-back past the France goalkeeper.

45 – Goalless at half-time.

33 – Steph Catley does well to block Diani just as it looks like there may have been a breakthrough.

28 – A move that we’re likely to see a lot in this World Cup – Dali and Bacha working a freekick to find the head of Renard. However, it isn’t on target.

26 – Chance for Foord but Pavraud-Magnin is down quickly to make the save.

20 – Blocked by Hunt! Geyoro gets a shot away but Hunt gets in the way.

17 – Finally a shot on target. Bacha strikes a firm shot but it’s straight at Arnold who has it under control.
